PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Clinical CPW (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Murphy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Richard Clark and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
CPW misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
CPW leaves Murphy with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Murphy shoots in and drives through. CPW sprawls well.
CPW misses with a body kick.
Murphy shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with CPW but CPW pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Clinical CPW has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brian Murphy.
Murphy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around CPW's waist but CPW gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Murphy off to one side.
Murphy does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Murphy will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
CPW misses with an uppercut. Murphy saw that one coming.
CPW avoids the head kick by Murphy.
Murphy avoids the head kick by CPW.
CPW slaps away a takedown attempt from Murphy, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Murphy shoots for a takedown but CPW saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Brian Murphy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's one minute gone in the round.
CPW tries a head kick but it misses.
CPW displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Murphy.
Murphy looks gassed!

CPW drops Murphy with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Murphy looks back up at him and smiles so CPW waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Murphy is rocked!

It looks like Brian Murphy has been cut.
CPW throws a series of punches but Murphy moves out of range.
Crack! CPW connects with the perfect overhand right and Murphy falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for CPW!
