Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Julius Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clark Kent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steel comes to the cage accompanied by Its a Fight. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Saam Ante and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kent misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kent shoots for a takedown but Steel saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Steel misses with a wild body shot.
Steel takes a body punch but keeps moving.

No joy there for Kent, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Kent pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Kent has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Steel finds it's way round the side to connect with Kent's head.

Steel connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Kent momentarily.

Steel shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

The fighters circle momentarily. Steel darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

and Steel cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Kent tries to score a power double leg takedown but Steel sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kent somewhat.
Steel is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Steel scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kent doesn't seem bothered though.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kent walks straight into a right hand from Steel - that's dropped him! Steel jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Kent from any more punishment! Kent complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
