Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Andrew has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Black can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Black tries to bum rush Andrew with a series of wild strikes but Andrew uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Andrew closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Andrew tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Andrew has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Andrew wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Black, who protects the arm well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Andrew has hold of Black's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Black manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Black wants to control but Andrew is having none of it.

Black has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Andrew is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Black.

Andrew swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Black is now in Andrew's guard. A big mistake from Andrew there, giving up the dominant position!

Andrew has his foot on Black's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Black works his way back into a safe position though.

Andrew had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Black is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Andrew Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Black's back instead.
