Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

hedderick changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Woolard looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Woolard is trying to get back to half guard.

hedderick looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Woolard manages to work his way to half guard, despite hedderick's best efforts.
hedderick thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Woolard's head.

hedderick is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
hedderick tries to pass the half guard into mount. Woolard knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Woolard is trying to stand back up but hedderick is controlling him

hedderick performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
hedderick avoids the head kick by Woolard.
Woolard leaves hedderick with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Woolard displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from hedderick.

Woolard lands a left and a right that send hedderick crashing to the mat, dazed. Woolard thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Woolard shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! hedderick is on queer street and Woolard is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
