The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adonis throws a hook but Emelianenko blocks it.

Emelianenko changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Adonis looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Emelianenko is trying to get an arm triangle but Adonis is defending well.

Adonis is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Emelianenko asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Adonis has hold of Emelianenko's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Emelianenko manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Adonis swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Emelianenko is now in Adonis's guard. A big mistake from Adonis there, giving up the dominant position!
