Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daisu Miyagi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Marlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brian Marlin struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 157.6lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miyagi bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Marlin is trying to control Miyagi's posture but Miyagi avoids it.
Miyagi trying to control the position but Marlin is working away.
Marlin gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Miyagi tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Marlin.

Miyagi would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Miyagi stands and steps away. Marlin gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Marlin tries to clinch but Miyagi is having none of it.
Miyagi misses with a takedown attempt - Marlin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

and Marlin counters with a shoot takedown. Miyagi fights it but they end up in guard.

Marlin drops back, looking for a kneebar! Miyagi looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Miyagi looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Miyagi!
Marlin is pushing Miyagi's head away, looking to escape. Miyagi manages to hold on to the position though.
Marlin is breathing heavily.
Miyagi tries for a kimura but Marlin is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Miyagi wants to control but Marlin is keeping him busy.
Miyagi is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Marlin has escaped the position, nice work there.
Marlin tries to get back to half guard but can't.
A lull in the action here.
Marlin is looking to regain half guard here but Miyagi keeps moving and retains side control.
Miyagi wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Marlin, who protects the arm well.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Marlin is trying to control Miyagi's posture but Miyagi avoids it.
Miyagi stands up.
A combination from Miyagi does no damage.
Miyagi clinches.
Marlin tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Miyagi just stands there and leans against the cage.
Miyagi lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Miyagi lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Marlin or not.
Miyagi stops a takedown attempt from Marlin.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Marlin.
Miyagi connects with a nasty looking knee right to Marlin's face.

Marlin tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Miyagi smiles and moves away.
Daisu Miyagi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brian Marlin.
Miyagi lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Marlin backs up against the cage.
Marlin tries to clinch but Miyagi moves away
and Miyagi counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Marlin is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

and Miyagi counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Marlin's guard now.

Miyagi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Marlin swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Miyagi missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Miyagi has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Marlin to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Miyagi is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Marlin pulls down on the head and he's put Miyagi to sleep! This one is all over!
