The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pekka shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lessard sprawls well. Lessard wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pekka gets slowly back to his feet.
Pekka shoots for a double leg takedown but Lessard sprawls well. He's pushed Pekka's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Pekka tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lessard sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pekka somewhat.

Pekka drops his hands momentarily and Lessard takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Pekka is trying desperately to land a takedown but Lessard is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Pekka.
Pekka dives in and grabs Lessard's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lessard pushes down on Pekka's head and hops out.

Lessard drops Pekka with a beautiful combination! Pekka stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Lessard is looking for the KO!

Pekka is rocked!
Lessard drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Pekka right on the button. Pekka goes down! Lessard follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Lessard gets the win via TKO!
