Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Paul Bourque (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keijo Kuosmanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Paul Bourque has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paul Bourque!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Keijo Kuosmanen!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kuosmanen.
Kuosmanen shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bourque but Bourque pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Bourque really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Kuosmanen changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bourque looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Kuosmanen is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Bourque has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Bourque!
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Kuosmanen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bourque's guard.

Bourque manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kuosmanen manages to get himself to full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bourque knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kuosmanen on the ground.

Despite being in the dominant position, Keijo Kuosmanen just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Bourque throws a looping overhand right but Kuosmanen ducks down to avoid it.
Kuosmanen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bourque pinned against the cage. Bourque gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Bourque scores with a jab. Kuosmanen acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Kuosmanen jumps guard but Bourque stands there with Kuosmanen around his waist. Kuosmanen gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Bourque pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Kuosmanen takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Kuosmanen shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bourque circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bourque throws a big shot that misses.
Kuosmanen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Bourque lands a left and a right that send Kuosmanen crashing to the mat, dazed. Bourque thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Kuosmanen is still on wobbly legs! Can Bourque finish him?
Bourque throws a shot to the body.
Kuosmanen seems to have recovered his senses.

Horrible takedown by Kuosmanen or perhaps it was just good defense by Bourque which made him look bad.

Kuosmanen on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Kuosmanen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Bourque lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Bourque comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Kuosmanen goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Bourque is on top in guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bourque stalks Kuosmanen and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kuosmanen's face. Kuosmanen staggers backwards, shaken.
Nice takedown defense from Bourque. No joy for Kuosmanen on that attempt.

Kuosmanen shoots in and bounces Bourque off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
Kuosmanen is fighting to break Bourque's control of his arms but Bourque is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Kuosmanen drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bourque manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kuosmanen has Bourque in his guard.

Kuosmanen sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kuosmanen is looking for a sweep. Bourque is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Bourque wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kuosmanen keeps working.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bourque connects with a nice short shot to Kuosmanen's temple.

Bourque is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Kuosmanen manages to get to full guard.

Kuosmanen takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Kuosmanen has control of Bourque's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Bourque regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Keijo Kuosmanen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

I would just about give that final round to Keijo Kuosmanen.
I have no idea who won that fight. Let's wait and see whether the judges are as confused as me! Time for a split decision perhaps?!. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
