The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hugger fails to land the takedown.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hugger shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Nunoz as he jumps to the side.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Hugger doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Nunoz counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hugger won't be happy with that.
Hugger takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Ken Nunoz overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Nunoz got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hugger has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nunoz has managed to get both his arms back between Hugger's legs - danger averted.

Nunoz is keen to just control but Hugger is a slippery customer.
Nunoz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hugger on the ground.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Nunoz shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Nunoz was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
