And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Geist changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rasgadus looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Rasgadus is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Rasgadus wants to get back to full guard.
Rasgadus slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Rasgadus looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Geist puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Geist knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rasgadus on the ground.

It looks like Panos Rasgadus has been cut.
Rasgadus tries to get to full guard but Geist has control of the leg.

Rasgadus swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Geist is now in Rasgadus's guard. A big mistake from Rasgadus there, giving up the dominant position!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rasgadus can do anything to dispel that myth.

Rasgadusis looking to pass into half guard but Geist pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Geist is in guard.

Rasgadus is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Geist stands up over Rasgadus, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Geist is working Rasgadus over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Rasgadus is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Geist has his hands clasped together but Rasgadus extends an breaks Geist's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Rasgadus.
