The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Williams tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Whinchester paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Williams tries to close the distance and clinch but Whinchester swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Whinchester is looking to score with low kicks.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Whinchester is defended easily by Williams.
Williams misses with a head kick.

Williams escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Williams doesn't manage to clinch there - Whinchester circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Whinchester swats away the attempt to clinch by Williams.
Williams feints and then cracks Whinchester's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Whinchester down.
Whinchester is breathing heavily.
Whinchester takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Williams tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Williams moves in looking to clinch but Whinchester pushes him off.

Whinchester on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Williams with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Williams rushes Whinchester with punches - Whinchester moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Whinchester goes down! Williams follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
