Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Deveraux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dirk Kegslam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Paulo Santos and Matheus Silva.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deveraux uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kegslam.
A jab from Kegslam misses.
Deveraux misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A jab from Kegslam does it's job there.
Kegslam walks into a jab.

It looks like Dirk Kegslam has been cut.
Donk. Kegslam catches Deveraux right on the button with a cross.
Deveraux is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Kegslam.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kegslam connects with a good right hand that stumbles Deveraux. Deveraux circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Dirk Kegslam seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kegslam throws a body punch but Deveraux moves out of range.
Kegslam lands a right hook to the body.
Kegslam cracks Deveraux with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Kegslam misses with a looping left.
Deveraux changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kegslam tries to avoid it but Deveraux manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kegslam to the ground. Kegslam escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jon Deveraux. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Kegslam lands a right hook to the body.
Deveraux throws a right and a left that Kegslam avoids nicely.
Dirk Kegslam is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

letting Deveraux counter with a right hand.
Deveraux tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kegslam swivels and escapes.
Kegslam lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Deveraux at a distance.
Deveraux is breathing heavily.
Kegslam lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Deveraux backs up against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Deveraux takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Kegslam connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Kegslam takes a swing at Deveraux's ribcage but misses.
Kegslam cracks Deveraux with a right hand to the side of the head.
Kegslam throws a combination. Deveraux tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Deveraux takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
A right-left combo lands from Kegslam.
Kegslam throws a chopping leg kick but Deveraux manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Kegslam connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Deveraux drops his hands momentarily and Kegslam takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Kegslam scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Deveraux has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Deveraux there as he acknowledges the shot.
Kegslam throws a leg kick but Deveraux sees it coming and moves out of range.
Deveraux takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Deveraux takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Kegslam lands with a straight right. Deveraux didn't see that one coming.
Kegslam fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Deveraux. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Kegslam misses with a wild combination.
Deveraux slips under a jab from Kegslam.
Kegslam throws a leg kick which misses Deveraux's front leg but catches the back leg as Deveraux tries to avoid it.
Kegslam smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Kegslam stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kegslam connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Kegslam is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Deveraux had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Kegslam throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kegslam, as that shot connected.

Kegslam lands a left and a right that send Deveraux crashing to the mat, dazed. Kegslam thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Oh Deveraux is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kegslam lands a jab to Deveraux's midsection.
Deveraux seems to have got his legs back now.

Kegslam lands a left and a right that send Deveraux crashing to the mat, dazed. Kegslam thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Kegslam connects with a single shot there.
Deveraux keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kegslam is working the combinations to good effect here.
Kegslam takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Kegslam cracks Deveraux with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Kegslam tests Deveraux's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Kegslam lands with a straight right. Deveraux didn't see that one coming.
Kegslam dances in with a quick combination. Deveraux is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Kegslam snaps Deveraux's head back. Deveraux stumbles backwards against the cage. Kegslam steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Deveraux's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Deveraux just didn't come prepared.
