Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Oxbig!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kimbo Slice!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slice looks to land a right hand but Oxbig moved out of range.
Slice throws a right and a left that Oxbig avoids nicely.
Oxbig lands a jab-cross combination.
It looks like Kimbo Slice has been cut.
Slice circles away from the clinch attempt.
Horrible takedown by Oxbig or perhaps it was just good defense by Slice which made him look bad.
Oxbig throws a one two combo.
Slice throws a combination that misses
so Oxbig counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Oxbig throwing strikes from guard but Slice blocks nicely.
Slice is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Oxbig is controlling him.
Oxbig throws a big right hand that misses.
Slice is looking to stand up but Oxbig isn't so interested in that idea.
Oxbig controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Slice keeping moving, preventing Oxbig from controlling successfully.
Slice pushes Oxbig off and gets back to his feet.
No luck for Oxbig with that takedown attempt.
Kimbo Slice is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Slice throws a left and a right that both miss
and Oxbig counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Oxbig.
Oxbig trying to control but Slice is working from the bottom.
Slice can't keep his opponent in guard - Oxbig advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Oxbig is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Oxbig stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Slice to get to his feet.
Slice misses with an uppercut.
Oxbig has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Slice finds it's way round the side to connect with Oxbig's head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Slice circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Oxbig to the canvas! Oxbig doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Slice keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kimbo Slice!
