The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoo closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Yoshida actively working from the bottom here.
Yoshida is refusing to be controlled, as Hoo sits in half guard.
Yoshida is trying to get back to full guard.

Yoshida is looking to improve his position.
Hoo works his foot free and advances to mount.
Yoshida sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Hoo trying to control from half guard but Yoshida is working away.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Yoshida is pressing down on Hoo's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Hoo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Yoshida. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Yoshida could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Yoshida is looking for a triangle here but Hoo uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Yoshida tries to bench press Hoo off him but Hoo keeps the position.
Hoo content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Yoshida is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Hoo off and has taken his back!

Yoshida is working hard for the rear naked choke here.

Yoshida is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Hoo defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Yoshida is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Hoo has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Yoshida has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Hoo taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Yoshida doesn't care though - he's delighted!
