The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sorvino scores a takedown into full mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sorvino is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Ernieson has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ernieson is wriggling around trying to escape.
Ernieson is working hard here to advance position.
Ernieson tries to lock up and control but Sorvino gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Sorvino is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Ernieson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Sorvino with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Ernieson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Ernieson has left one of his arms exposed and Sorvino doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Ernieson screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
