Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Meier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cedric Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Meier's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Cant be touched. Steele has chosen Ironman as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Meier shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Meier was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Steele really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Steele tries to hold on but Meier pushes him away.
Steele wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Meier.
Steele is looking to improve his position but Meier isn't that keen on the idea.

Meier really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Meier looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Steele with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Steele throws a hook but Meier blocks it.
Meier shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Steele sprawls well. Steele wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Meier gets slowly back to his feet.
Meier takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Meier shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Steele is trying to defend but Meier finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Steele misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Meier will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Steele had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Meier defends it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Meier closes this distance looking for a takedown but Steele circles away.
Steele misses with a wild combination.
Steele fails to land with a series of punches.
Tyler Meier is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Steele lands a jab.
Meier takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Meier closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Meier lands in his opponent's guard.

Steele working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Meier doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Steele is tightening it up a little... Meier has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Meier reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Meier taps out! nice BJJ there by Steele!
