The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boston shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Boston showed some decent athleticism there.
Boston wants to control but Cassius is keeping him busy.
Boston performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Cassius is staying active underneath Boston, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Cassius is trying to get back to full guard.
Cassius manages to get to full guard.
Cassius controls Boston momentarily but Boston frees himself.

Boston has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cassius can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Cassius throws a strike but Boston rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Cassius closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cassius lands in his opponent's guard.

and Boston counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Cassius off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Boston follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Cassius was out before he hit the floor.
