Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dennis Tretow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Exodus Maxell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tretow's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Days of Thunder. The crowd seem to be enjoying Maxell's choice of entrance music: Oh Canada!. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maxell throws a body punch but Tretow moves out of range.
Maxell swings for the body but Tretow moves out of range.
Maxell cracks Tretow with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Tretow misses with the combination.
Maxell throws a half hearted mid kick.
Tretow displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Maxell throws out the jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Maxell tries to clinch there but Tretow circles away.
Maxell fails to land the takedown.
Maxell slips a jab and a cross from Tretow.

Tretow lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Maxell throws a hook but Tretow blocks it.
Tretow misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Tretow avoids the head kick by Maxell.

Maxell throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Tretow closes the distance and clinches up with Maxell, looking for a takedown. Tretow pushes Maxell against the cage but Maxell circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Maxell bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Tretow rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Maxell moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Tretow keeps the fight on the outside.
Tretow fails to land with a series of punches.

Tretow closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Tretow wants the takedown. Maxell is fighting it off but Tretow persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Maxell's guard against the cage.
Maxell wants to sweep here but Tretow controlling him for the moment.
Tretow will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Tretow wants to pass the guard but Maxell is keeping the position.
Maxell throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Maxell controls Tretow momentarily but Tretow frees himself.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Tretow wants to get up but he can't break Maxell's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Maxell trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Maxell scores with a nice strike.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Tretow swats away the attempt to clinch by Maxell.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Maxell tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

That was a close round but I would say that Dennis Tretow will probably get the nod.

Tretow stuffs the takedown attempt from Maxell. Maxell gets slowly back to his feet.

Tretow attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Tretow throws a nice looking combination but Maxell bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Maxell punishes Tretow's body with a nice straight punch.

Maxell misses with an uppercut. Tretow saw that one coming.
Maxell connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Tretow's hands.
Maxell scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Maxell moves out of range of the body kick from Tretow.

Maxell missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Tretow pulls Maxell in close to his closed guard and prevents Maxell from doing any damage or advancing position.

Tretow is looking for a triangle here but Maxell uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Tretow takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Tretow manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Maxell is trying to control the action in half guard but Tretow is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
