Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Davidson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabio Andrade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andrade has chosen Cowboys From Hell as his entrance music. Michael Davidson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Luis Engracia and Emerson Jorge.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Andrade moves into the clinch.
Andrade is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Davidson pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Andrade gets control of Davidson's arms and successfully pulls guard. Andrade will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Davidson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Davidson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Andrade has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Davidson has managed to get both his arms back between Andrade's legs - danger averted.
Andrade manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Davidson manages to get himself to full guard.
Andrade connects with a couple of short punches.
Davidson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Andrade is controlling him.

Andrade is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Andrade seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Davidson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Davidson looks like he's trying to stand up.
Andrade seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Andrade is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Davidson defends it well.

Andrade is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Andrade is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Davidson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Andrade goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Davidson rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Andrade's guard! Nice work there by Davidson!
Davidson wanted to stand there but Andrade had control of the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Davidson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Andrade on the ground.

Andrade working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Davidson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Davidson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Andrade shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Davidson as he avoids it easily.
Andrade's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Davidson will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Andrade tries for a takedown but Davidson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Davidson connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Andrade's hands.
Andrade changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Davidson tries to avoid it but Andrade manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Davidson to the ground. Davidson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Andrade takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Andrade tries to move into range but Davidson moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Davidson attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Andrade shoots in for a takedown but Davidson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Andrade gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Davidson fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Andrade checks it well.
Andrade shoots in looking for a takedown. Davidson tries to sprawl out of it but Andrade keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Davidson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Andrade shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Davidson pinned against the cage. Davidson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Davidson lands a nice shot that snaps Andrade's head back.

Andrade shoots in but no luck this time.
A clash of legs there as Andrade blocks the low kick.
Andrade checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Andrade changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Davidson tries to avoid it but Andrade manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Davidson to the ground. Davidson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Davidson stuffs the takedown.
A solid leg kick lands there for Davidson.
Michael Davidson is winning the standup battle so far.
Davidson misses with a low kick.
Davidson throws a leg kick but Andrade moved away.
Andrade misses with a takedown attempt - Davidson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Davidson's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Davidson duly obliges.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Davidson here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Davidson feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Andrade's calf.
Andrade takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Davidson.
