Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, john jo c!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, David Coleman!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coleman bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps c's head backwards.
c throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Coleman feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
c pulls Coleman in close to prevent any damage.
c is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
c is pulling down on Coleman's head. It's preventing any offense from Coleman, at least for the moment.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now c is on top in guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Coleman keeping moving, preventing c from controlling successfully.
Coleman wants to get back to his feet but c is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
c trying to move into half guard but instead Coleman has managed to sweep!
Coleman is fighting to break c's control of his arms but c is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
c wants to sweep here but Coleman controlling him for the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
c bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Coleman's guard.
c trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Coleman looking to control but c passes into half guard.

c seems to be looking for submissions.
Coleman avoiding damage under a succession of punches from c.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Coleman tries to kick c off but c keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

c wants to take a breather but Coleman is having none of it.
c is breathing heavily.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Coleman throws a series of punches but c avoids them all with ease.

Coleman rushes c and presses him up against the cage.
Coleman on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Coleman escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Coleman lands a big head kick that sends c tumbling to the mat! Coleman takes a step backwards and waves c back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Coleman throws a head kick but c moves out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
c tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Coleman counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
c pushes Coleman off looking to stand but Coleman dives back in and keeps control.
c is looking to improve his position.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Coleman in particular looking to stall.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Coleman is sneakily working for an arm triangle but c sees it coming and defends easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Coleman dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Coleman throws a head kick that half lands.
c gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Coleman counters with a big head kick but c shrugs it off.
c throws a left and a right that both miss
and Coleman makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. c really felt that one!
c tries to clinch but Coleman moves away

and Coleman counters with a head kick that drops c to the mat! c scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!


c is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Coleman fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with c, pushing him back against the cage.

Coleman breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
c thows a leg kick but Coleman checks it
and Coleman counters with a head kick that wobbles c - left then right he sways and one more bomb from Coleman sends him down. This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). David Coleman!
