PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mark Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Moses Magnum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn has a takedown stuffed.
Penn pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Magnum throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Penn tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Magnum swivels and escapes.
Magnum misses with the combination.

Penn shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Magnum as he jumps to the side.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Magnum pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Penn is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Magnum is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Penn doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Penn looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Penn shoots for a double leg takedown but Magnum sprawls well. He's pushed Penn's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

No joy there for Magnum, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Penn changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Magnum tries to avoid it but Penn manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Magnum to the ground. Magnum escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Magnum takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Magnum bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
