The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tosh just misses with a punch to the body.
Tosh fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Grape manages to avoid it.

Tosh has closed the distance and engaged Grape in a clinch.
Grape is trying to break the clinch but Tosh has him pressed against the cage.
Grape is trying to maintain a safe position but Tosh gets an underhook and turns Grape into the cage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tosh wants to sweep here but Grape controlling him for the moment.

Grape really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tosh. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Grape wants to get up but he can't break Tosh's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Tosh displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Grape.
Grape tries for a takedown but Tosh sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Drake Grape seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Grape shoots in but Tosh avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Peter Tosh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Drake Grape.
Grape throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tosh's waist but Tosh gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Grape off to one side.

Tosh has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
