PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fibelas Alameda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Foreman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Foreman misses with a straight left.
Alameda misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Foreman throws a hook but Alameda avoids it easily.
Foreman throws the left hand but Alameda avoids the punch easily.
Foreman misses with a straight right.
Foreman scores with a sloppy right hand. Alameda should have avoided that one.
Foreman avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Alameda blocks a jab.
Alameda doesn't manage to clinch there - Foreman circles away.
Alameda with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Alameda tries to clinch but Foreman is having none of it.
Alameda looks for a takedown but Foreman sprawls well.
Alameda ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Alameda shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Foreman but Foreman pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fibelas Alameda. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Alameda tries to clinch up but Foreman circles away and keeps his distance.
Alameda gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Alameda lands with a kick to the temple. Foreman shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Alameda throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Foreman's head.

Fibelas Alameda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Foreman lands a jab to the nose.
Foreman might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Foreman defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Alameda.
Foreman throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Alameda is breathing heavily.

Alameda throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Foreman's waist but Foreman gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Alameda off to one side.
Foreman lunges at Alameda with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Alameda's hand.
Foreman scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Alameda is rocked!
Foreman ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Alameda out cold! The fight is over!
