Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Deco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mark Palmer struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 157.7lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palmer darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Deco controlling the position for now.
Deco tries to roll over but Palmer keeps him under control.
Deco is trying to control but can't.
Palmer stops Deco from getting back to his feet.
Palmer is keen to just control but Deco is a slippery customer.
Palmer looks to land a strike but Deco avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Deco is trying to keep Palmer in close.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Deco pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Deco closes the distance and clinches.
Deco gets through Palmer's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Deco slowing the pace effectively.
Deco scores with a shoulder strike.
Still in the clinch, Deco scores with a nice short uppercut.
Deco pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Deco controls Palmer momentarily but Palmer frees himself.
Deco manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Palmer manages to get himself to full guard.

Deco lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Deco cracks Palmer with a solid left hand.
Palmer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Deco. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Palmer wants to sweep here but Deco controlling him for the moment.
Deco throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Palmer works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Deco passes Palmer's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Deco tries to pass to full mount but Palmer defends it.
Deco wants to stand but Palmer has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Deco lands a nice short elbow.
Palmer looks gassed!
Palmer is refusing to be controlled, as Deco sits in half guard.
Deco in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Palmer tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Deco!
