The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyle fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Boyle takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Brophy throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Boyle sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A solid leg kick lands there for Brophy.
Boyle shoots for a double leg takedown but Brophy sprawls well. He's pushed Boyle's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Brophy uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Boyle.
Brophy uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Boyle.
Boyle throws a sloppy head kick and Brophy moves out of range easily.
Boyle takes one on the button.
Brophy scores with a nice head shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Brophy dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Boyle tries to close the distance and clinch but Brophy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Brophy, right into the meat.
Brophy punishes Boyle's body with a nice straight punch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Brophy lands a left and a right that send Boyle crashing to the mat, dazed. Brophy thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Fred Boyle has been cut.
