Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ed Zachary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fon Jitch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jitch tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Zachary paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jitch looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Zachary is fending him off so far but Jitch persists. Nope, Zachary circles away and we're back to standing.
Fon Jitch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A punch combination from Jitch misses.
Jitch tries to close the distance and clinch but Zachary swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
No luck for Jitch with that takedown attempt.
Zachary avoids a kick to the body.
Zachary uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jitch.

Jitch moves into the clinch.
Zachary has had enough of the clinch but Jitch keeps him there for the moment.
Jitch wants to break the clinch but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zachary misses with a punch on the inside.

Jitch manages to break the clinch.
Jitch throws a right hand that Zachary ducks under and follows up with a left that Zachary also avoids with ease.
Jitch misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

The fight stays on the outside here - Jitch looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Jitch shoots in but Zachary avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Jitch shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Zachary pinned against the cage. Zachary gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Jitch is not content to let Zachary control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jitch pushes Zachary away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Zachary gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Zachary wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jitch keeps working.

Zachary tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Zachary is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jitch knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Zachary is working to tighten is grip on Jitch's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Jitch has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Zachary is really squeezing tight and eventually Jitch passes out! Zachary breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
