The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
goon swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
goon loads up on a big right hand but Lavelle slips the punch.
goon scores with a hook to the body. Lavelle takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Lavelle fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Lavelle looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
goon is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lavelle.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
goon lands with a cross.

It looks like Chris Lavelle has been cut.
goon moves out of range of the body kick from Lavelle.

Lavelle checks the leg kick nicely there.
goon displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lavelle.
goon is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lavelle.
Lavelle looks for a takedown but goon sprawls well.
the goon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Lavelle.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Lavelle slips under a jab.
Lavelle ducks under a wild hook from goon.
goon throws a hook but Lavelle avoids it easily.
goon throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lavelle gets cracked with a nice right hand there by goon.
Lavelle shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts goon as he jumps to the side.
Lavelle tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but goon swivels and escapes.

Lavelle leaves his chin hanging out and goon seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Lavelle crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
