The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Mauricio Rocha and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sagat misses with a low kick.
Sagat throws a series of punches but Tatum avoids them all with ease.
Sagat misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Tatum tries to clinch but Sagat is having none of it.
Sagat tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Tatum checks a leg kick.
Tatum throws a combination. Sagat tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
It looks like Victor Sagat has been cut.
Sagat fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tatum manages to avoid it.
Tatum drives through and clinches with Sagat against the ropes.
Tatum misses with a short punch on the inside.
Sagat blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Sagat blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Tatum's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Sagat will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Sagat throws out a leg kick but Tatum moves out of range and Sagat only half commits.
Tatum lands a two punch combo.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Tatum tests Sagat's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Sagat looks up at the clock. Bad move! Tatum lands a right hand from hell, dropping Sagat. Tatum pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Drederick Tatum!
