The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swanson fails with a takedown attempt.
Swanson shoots in for a double leg but Reinhardt sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Reinhardt stuffs the takedown attempt from Swanson. Swanson gets slowly back to his feet.

Swanson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Reinhardt swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Reinhardt is looking for a triangle but Swanson pushes his legs off easily.

Swanson working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Reinhardt's head.

Swanson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Reinhardt had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Swanson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Reinhardt Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Swanson's back instead.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Swanson breaks Reinhardt's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Swanson chips away with some ground and pound.
Swanson wants to pass the guard but Reinhardt is keeping the position.

Reinhardt working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Swanson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Swanson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Reinhardt manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
