With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Frankie Edgar!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Skip Squint and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Darke closes the distance and clinches.
Edgar takes a knee to the side of the body.
Darke putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Edgar in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.

Darke ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Darke no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Darke controls Edgar momentarily but Edgar frees himself.
Darke looking to hit a scissor sweep but Edgar is one step ahead there.

Darke working for a triangle but Edgar defends it easily.
Edgar lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Edgar throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Darke works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Darke is trying to control the position but Edgar postures up.

Edgar lands some shots froms side control.

Edgar is looking to stall here but Darke recovers full guard.

Edgar darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
A bone on bone clash there as Darke blocks the leg kick.
Edgar throws a right and a left that Darke avoids nicely.
Edgar lands a jab-cross combination.
Edgar looks gassed!
The fight stays on the outside here - Darke looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Darke has Edgar up against the cage in a clinch.
Darke landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
A head punch on the inside from Edgar fails to land.

Darke pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Darke.
Darke moves in looking to clinch but Edgar pushes him off.
Edgar keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Darke tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Edgar paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Darke rushes Edgar and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Edgar's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Edgar swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Edgar tries to circle away but Darke has him pinned against the cage.

Darke breaks the clinch.
Edgar keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Damien Darke. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Darke looks for a takedown but Edgar sprawls well.
Darke dodges the punch combination from Edgar.

Edgar throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Darke has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Edgar clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Darke is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Edgar with him. Edgar is trying to defend but Darke has an arm under the chin now! Edgar grimaces and is forced to tap out!
