Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ryuu Matsumoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafael Diias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Matsumoto closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Matsumoto uses his free foot to push down on Diias's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Diias.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Matsumoto working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Diias turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Matsumoto off and cradles Diias's limp body as Matsumoto celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Ryuu Matsumoto!
