Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kida Masaomi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chiba Masaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yuuki Gou and Hirohito Nitta.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Masaki gets caught flat footed, as Masaomi shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Masaomi stands up and waves to Masaki to follow him.
Masaki fails to land with a series of punches.
Masaki pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Masaki throws a nice inside leg kick.

Masaomi drives through with a takedown into guard.
Masaki keeping full guard, as Masaomi tries to pass.
Masaki wants to stand but Masaomi is controlling the position.
Masaomi loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Masaomi won't allow Masaki to get back to his feet.

Masaomi gets to his feet - Masaki follows without any prompting.
Masaki misses with a low kick.
Masaomi dives in and grabs Masaki's left leg, looking for a takedown. Masaki pushes down on Masaomi's head and hops out.
Masaomi fails to land the takedown.
Masaki tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Masaomi shoots in and bounces Masaki off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
Masaki is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Masaomi forces his way into half guard.

Masaomi is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Masaki doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Masaomi.
Masaomi lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Masaomi passes to side control.
Masaomi prevents Masaki from escaping the position.
Masaki looks gassed!
Masaomi controls the position.
An elbow from Masaomi crashes against the mat.
Masaomi just content to control the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Masaomi has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Masaomi has hold of Masaki's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Masaki tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Masaomi cranks the arm and Masaki screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Masaki, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
