The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Payne misses with an uppercut.
Payne swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Brown.

No joy there for Brown, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Payne loads up on a big right hand but Brown slips the punch.

Payne tries to bum rush Brown with a series of wild strikes but Brown uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Brown takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Payne walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
