Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Wong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Griffin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, James Wong!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Atkins and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Wong throws out the jab.
Wong connects with a solid leg kick.
Griffin misses with a takedown attempt - Wong sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Wong throws a nice looking combination but Griffin bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Wong staying out of range there.
Griffin keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Griffin avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Griffin shoots in but Wong avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Griffin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Griffin shoots for a double leg takedown but Wong sprawls well. He's pushed Griffin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Griffin dives in and grabs Wong's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wong pushes down on Griffin's head and hops out.
Wong is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Wong throws a series of punches but Griffin moves out of range.
Wong slaps away a takedown attempt from Griffin, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Griffin is breathing heavily.
Wong throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Griffin sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Wong lands a nice shot that snaps Griffin's head back.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Wong throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Griffin tries to move into range but Wong moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Wong lands a big right hand that sends Griffin crashing to the mat! Wong stays standing though and waves Griffin back to his feet!
James Wong is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Griffin slips a jab from Wong.

Wong will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Wong manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Griffin manages to get himself to full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Griffin working for a triangle but Wong defends it easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Griffin looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Wong has picked Griffin up and slammed him! Griffin can't keep hold of the triangle and Wong manages to pass to side control!

Griffin is trying to control Wong's posture but Wong avoids it.

Wong is looking to take a break and control but Griffin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Wong controlling the position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Griffin tries to improve position but can't.
Wong working the body and head with strikes.

Wong thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Griffin wants to control but Wong postures up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Griffin is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Wong is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Griffin has escaped the position, nice work there.

Wong stands up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

James Wong showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Wong ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Griffin moves away.
Wong throws out a loose jab but Griffin uses good head movement to avoid it.

Wong stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wong wants it to stay on the feet.

Wong sends Griffin crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Wong is motioning to the referee to let Griffin up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Well Wong has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
