Wood has chosen Mama Said Knock You Out as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Gustav Graves has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hade Wood!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Graves uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Wood.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Wood pushes Graves off and gets back to his feet.

Wood is looking to break free of the clinch but Graves has double underhooks.

Wood wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Graves is working Wood over against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Wood's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Wood's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Wood tries to pull guard but Graves won't allow it.

Wood tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Graves just stands there and leans against the cage.

Wood wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Graves has him pressed against the cage.

Wood looks gassed!

Wood manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Graves is pushing down on Wood's leg trying to pass to half guard. Wood is fighting to maintain full guard but Graves has managed to sneak the leg through.
Graves is keen to just control but Wood is a slippery customer.

Wood stuns Graves with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Graves drives through and clinches with Wood against the cage.
Graves lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Graves misses with the head strike.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Graves.
Wood swings wildly with an uppercut but Graves uses good head movement to avoid it.
Graves lands a body shot in the clinch.
Graves makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Wood blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Graves lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Wood.
Wood is leaning against Graves and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
