The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tarpim avoids the head kick by McClure.
McClure stuffs the takedown.
Tarpim shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says McClure as he avoids it easily.
Tarpim closes this distance looking for a takedown but McClure circles away.

McClure closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
McClure wants to stand up but Tarpim has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Tarpim shoots and misses

so McClure counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Tarpim is breathing heavily.
McClure scoring with some ground and pound.
McClure would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Tarpim bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in McClure's guard.

McClure looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tarpim is one step ahead there.
Tarpim is looking to work some ground and pound but McClure has wrist control.
McClure is looking to stand back up but Tarpim counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by McClure.

Tarpim tries for a kimura but McClure is defending well.
McClure really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tarpim. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
McClure is trying to buck Tarpim off.
McClure is looking to regain half guard here but Tarpim keeps moving and retains side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tarpim tries to score with some ground and pound. McClure controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
McClure manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Tarpim goes for an armbar but McClure turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from McClure.

Tarpim has his feet on McClure's thighs here. He's pushed McClure off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! McClure screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
