Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Dan Vespa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Josh Marker!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, William Gold and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vespa fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Josh Marker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Marker lands the left hand.

Vespa has Marker up against the cage in a clinch.
Vespa tries to pull guard but Marker won't allow it.
Marker is trying to break the clinch but Vespa has him pressed against the cage.
Marker gets underhooks to prevent Vespa's takedown attempt.

Vespa looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Marker is fending him off so far but Vespa persists. Nope, Marker circles away and we're back to standing.

Marker swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Vespa takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The crowd cheers as Marker lands an impressive looking overhand right. Vespa doesn't seem phased though.
Vespa tries to move into range but Marker moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Marker jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Marker uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Vespa walks into a straight right hand from Marker.

Marker lands a body shot.
Vespa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Marker tries to avoid it but Vespa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Marker to the ground. Marker escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Vespa walks into a jab.
Marker connects with a crisp jab.
Marker uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Vespa has time to react.
Marker cracks Vespa with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Marker thuds his right hand into Vespa's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Marker might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Vespa takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Vespa tries to clinch but Marker moves out of range.
Good exchange - Marker coming out on top.
Marker stalks Vespa and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Vespa's face. Vespa staggers backwards, shaken.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The fight stays on the outside here - Vespa looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Vespa throws a sloppy head kick and Marker moves out of range easily.
Marker is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Vespa had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Vespa shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Marker pinned against the cage. Marker gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Marker has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Vespa doesn't manage to clinch there - Marker circles away.

Marker throws a good cross that connects.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Vespa.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Vespa. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Marker throws a shot to the body.
Vespa shoots in but no luck this time.

Vespa moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Vespa shoots in looking for a takedown. Marker tries to sprawl out of it but Vespa keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Marker manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
