PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Tyler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulao Filho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Matheus Silva and Alexandre Firmino.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tyler drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Tyler lands an elbow.
Tyler creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Filho sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Filho is looking to reverse the position.
Tyler working the ground and pound but Filho is defending the strikes.

Tyler really is a fat lump.
Filho is looking to regain half guard here but Tyler keeps moving and retains side control.
Tyler throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Tyler thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Tyler tries to score with some ground and pound. Filho controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Tyler is breathing heavily.

Filho is pressing down on Tyler's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Tyler postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Tyler is looking to work some ground and pound but Filho has wrist control.

Filho has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Tyler should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Filho has tightened it up now! Tyler should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
