Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dennis Cerbe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Escobar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cerbe kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Heart Of A Champion. Escobar is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Brujeria by La Coka Nostra. Dennis Cerbe has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dennis Cerbe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Juan Escobar!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Escobar takes one on the button.
Cerbe throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Cerbe throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Escobar.
A left lands for Cerbe.
Escobar looks to throw the jab but Cerbe is out of range.
A lazy left from Cerbe finds it's target.
Cerbe misses with a wild combination.
Cerbe throws an overhand right that lands on Escobar's shoulder, as Escobar tries to avoid the shot.

Cerbe gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Cerbe is trying to control the position but Escobar postures up.

Escobar tries to free his leg and advance position but Cerbe is retaining full guard.

Escobar drops back looking for a leg! Cerbe is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cerbe manages to kick Escobar off! Escobar jumps back into Cerbe's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Escobar takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Cerbe circles away from the clinch attempt.
Horrible takedown by Escobar or perhaps it was just good defense by Cerbe which made him look bad.

Cerbe throws a good cross that connects.
Cerbe swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Escobar shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cerbe but Cerbe pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Escobar ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cerbe moves away.
Escobar moves forwards but Cerbe connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Escobar takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Cerbe is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Escobar walks into a straight right hand from Cerbe.

Escobar dives in and grabs Cerbe's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cerbe pushes down on Escobar's head and hops out.

Escobar jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Cerbe walks away with a smile on his face. Escobar gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Escobar bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Cerbe wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
