Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jacque Strap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mickey Flynn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Strap comes to the cage accompanied by Thunderstruck by ACDC. Flynn has chosen Bad Ass by Mickey Finn & Aphrodite as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strap tries to clinch but Flynn is having none of it.
Flynn tries to bum rush Strap with a series of wild strikes but Strap uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Strap lands a nice looking kick to the body. Flynn takes a step back to recover.
Flynn shoots in but no luck this time.
Flynn missing with a left hand there. Strap was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Flynn connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Strap some visible discomfort.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Flynn shoots in for a takedown but Strap shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Flynn changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Strap tries to avoid it but Flynn manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Strap to the ground. Strap escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Flynn moves forwards but Strap connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Strap tries to close the distance and clinch but Flynn swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Flynn chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Strap can pounce on him.

Flynn shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Strap manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Strap wants to get back to his feet but Flynn is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
