Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between JJ Gibson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alvaro Gracielo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gibson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gracielo's guard.

Gracielo is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gibson is aware though and is defending well.

Gibson gets to his feet - Gracielo follows without any prompting.

Gibson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Gracielo was covering up waiting for the punch and Gibson finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Gibson stands and steps away. Gracielo gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Gracielo jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gibson walks away with a smile on his face. Gracielo gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gibson seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

JJ Gibson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alvaro Gracielo.
Gibson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gracielo keeps working.
Gracielo is pressing down on Gibson's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Gracielo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gibson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Gracielo is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Gracielo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Gibson defends well.
Gibson wants to stand but Gracielo is controlling his posture from full guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Gracielo is looking to sinch up a triangle. Gibson throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Gracielo's body to avoid the submission. Gracielo has instead reached around Gibson's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Gracielo arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
