Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Olsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duke Toney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Toney has chosen Pulp Fiction theme song as his entrance music. Duke Toney has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thomas Olsen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Duke Toney!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Olsen slaps away a takedown attempt from Toney, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Toney fails with an attempt to clinch.
Olsen stuffs the takedown.
Olsen tries to bum rush Toney with a series of wild strikes but Toney uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Toney wants to clinch.
Toney shoots in for a double leg but Olsen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Thomas Olsen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Duke Toney.

Toney decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Toney looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Toney is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Olsen defends it well.

Olsen moves in looking to clinch but Toney pushes him off.

Horrible takedown by Toney or perhaps it was just good defense by Olsen which made him look bad.

Toney is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Olsen.

Olsen fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Toney looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Olsen misses with a body kick.
Olsen scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Olsen smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Olsen wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Toney takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Olsen clinches with his opponent.
Olsen is trying to break the clinch but Toney is controlling him.
Olsen lands a shot to the body.
Olsen is looking to break free of the clinch but Toney has double underhooks.
Toney is working for takedown but Olsen is calmly controlling the position for now.
Olsen wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
A short body shot lands from Olsen as the two fighters clinch.

Olsen ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Olsen lands a glancing blow to the side of Toney's head.
Toney takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Olsen is looking to wear down Toney with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Olsen lands a slapping body shot.
Olsen looks to land a combination but Toney avoids it well.
Olsen connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

and Toney counters with a takedown into side control.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Toney wants to lay and pray for a moment but Olsen keeps working.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Olsen seems a little lost for a moment, as Toney dominates the positioning.
Toney lands a few punches from side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Olsen displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Toney.
Olsen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Olsen digs a good hook to Toney's body.

Toney throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Olsen was covering up waiting for the punch and Toney finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Olsen avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Toney tries to free his leg and advance position but Olsen is retaining full guard.
Olsen is looking to stand up but Toney isn't so interested in that idea.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Toney cracks Olsen with a solid left hand.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Toney is putting a hurting on Olsen here, landing some big shots from side control.

Toney looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
The strikes coming from Toney are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Olsen dodges the ground and pound from Toney.
Olsen takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Olsen can't do much from the bottom here.
Toney cracks Olsen with a big elbow.

Toney tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Toney has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Toney postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Toney is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Olsen's shoulder. That is not cool.

Duke Toney showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Olsen is trying to stand up here but Toney is controlling him well.

Toney is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Olsen is staying active underneath Toney, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Toney is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Toney is keen to just control but Olsen is a slippery customer.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Toney wants to free his trapped foot but Olsen is holding on for dear life with his legs.
