Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kasemchai Fairtex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Wayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fairtex is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Fairtex blocks a jab.
Wayne throws a right and a left that Fairtex avoids nicely.
Fairtex throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Wayne avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Wayne shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fairtex but Fairtex pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Fairtex misses with a leg kick.
Wayne tries to score a power double leg takedown but Fairtex sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wayne somewhat.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fairtex walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Fairtex tries to close the distance and clinch up but Wayne swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Wayne moves into range and connects with a jab.

Wayne wants to free his trapped foot but Fairtex is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Wayne slips a nice elbow through Fairtex's hands, connecting with Fairtex's forehead.
Wayne has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Fairtex has control of Wayne's left arm, preventing Wayne from doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wayne throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Fairtex works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Wayne seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Wayne has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Fairtex regains guard immediately.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Wayne tries to bum rush Fairtex with a series of wild strikes but Fairtex uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Wayne lands with an uppercut that bounces Fairtex off the cage and back into rage.

Wayne shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fairtex sprawls well. Fairtex wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wayne gets slowly back to his feet.

Wayne lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Fairtex misses with an attempted mid kick.
Wayne throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fairtex's waist but Fairtex gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wayne off to one side.
