Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alex Andrews (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Gracie's choice of entrance music: Born To Win. Ryan Gracie told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryan Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Taro Takaoka and Yuuki Gou.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andrews throws a series of strikes that have Gracie backpedaling.

It looks like Ryan Gracie has been cut.
Andrews lands a nice shot that snaps Gracie's head back.
Gracie steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Andrews. That one must have hurt.
Gracie throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
The fight stays on the outside here - Andrews looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Andrews uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Gracie is rocked!
Gracie looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Gracie's corner calls for a 1-2. Gracie obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Gracie shoots in looking for a takedown. Andrews tries to sprawl out of it but Gracie keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Andrews manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Gracie has Andrews pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Andrews manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Gracie thows a body shot but no joy.
Gracie sizes up Andrews with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Andrews throws a right hand that Gracie ducks under and follows up with a left that Gracie also avoids with ease.

Andrews misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gracie takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Alex Andrews seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gracie swings for the body but Andrews moves out of range.
Andrews clobbers Gracie with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Andrews scores with a hook to the body. Gracie takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Andrews scores with a jab to the jaw.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gracie drops his hands momentarily and Andrews needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Gracie just on the top of the head. Gracie drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Gracie - he's done!
