Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beast slaps away a takedown attempt from Capetao, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Capetao throws a head kick but Beast moves out of range.
Capetao drops his hands momentarily and Beast takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Capetao tries to clinch but Beast moves out of range.
Capetao shoots for a takedown but Beast saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Capetao fails in his attempt to clinch.
No luck for Capetao with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Raimundao Capetao. That's going to take a lot out of him.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Beast wriggles onto his back under a barage of strikes.
Capetao won't let Beast get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Beast bucks Capetao off and manages to get back to his feet!

and Beast counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Beast.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
A knee to the head by Capetao.
Capetao using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Beast has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Beast lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Beast escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Beast bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

and Beast counters with a good low kick that Capetao was not able to check.
Capetao has his takedown stuffed

and Beast counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Beast really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Capetao. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Capetao is breathing heavily.

Capetao has an active guard here but Beast has managed to pass into half guard.
Beast seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Capetao is looking to improve his position but Beast isn't that keen on the idea.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Beast closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Beast looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Beast stands up and beckons Capetao to join him on the feet.
Beast dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Capetao. That did some damage!

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Beast got a little sloppy there for a moment and Capetao has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Beast has managed to get both his arms back between Capetao's legs - danger averted.

Well Beast has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
