Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Nguyen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tanik Vroy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nguyen darts in and clinches Vroy up against the cage.
Vroy takes a shot to the head.
A looping hook to the body misses from Nguyen. Vroy does a little dance to reset his feet.
Vroy fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Nguyen avoids it really well and circles away.
Nguyen fails with an attempt to clinch.

Nguyen moves in looking to clinch but Vroy pushes him off.
A bone on bone clash there as Nguyen blocks the leg kick.

Vroy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Nguyen looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Vroy should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Vroy wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Nguyen, who protects the arm well.

Nguyen wants to control but Vroy postures up.
Nguyen managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Vroy.
Vroy has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Vroy.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Nguyen is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Vroy is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vroy slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Charlie Nguyen will probably get the nod.

Vroy shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nguyen sprawls well. Nguyen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Vroy gets slowly back to his feet.

Charlie Nguyen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nguyen lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Nguyen closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Nguyen lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Nguyen tries to close the distance and clinch but Vroy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Vroy shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Nguyen manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Vroy would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nguyen kicks Vroy off and gets to his feet.

Vroy misses with a takedown attempt - Nguyen sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Nguyen lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Vroy has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Vroy and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Nguyen, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
