Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Hossa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trevor Poppins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poppins throws a body punch but Hossa moves out of range.

Hossa closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Poppins to the mat! Poppins manages to get full guard.
Hossa won't allow Poppins to sweep him here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hossa is working Poppins over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Hossa stands up from Poppins's guard - Hossa perhaps looking for a knockout.

Hossa fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Poppins, pushing him back against the cage.

Hossa escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Poppins shoots and misses

and Hossa holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Hossa jumps guard and drags Poppins to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Poppins wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Hossa's closed guard. He's half up but Hossa has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Hossa pivots and extends the arm, Poppins falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Hossa! Well done that man!
