Fensch has chosen Waking the demon as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fensch blocks a head kick by Waara.
Waara lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Fensch throws a lazy right hand but Waara sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Waara tries to clinch there but Fensch circles away.
Fensch lands a jab to the nose.

It looks like Waltteri Waara has been cut.
Waltteri Waara seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Waara has a takedown stuffed.
Fensch throws a series of punches but Waara moves out of range.
Fensch lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Fensch lands with an overhand left.

Waara tries to score with a low kick but Fensch moves his leg out of the way.

Fensch passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.
Waara makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Waara.

Waara has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Waara throws his legs up looking for a submission but Fensch uses it to pass to side control.

Fensch stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Nice takedown defense from Fensch. No joy for Waara on that attempt.
Fensch connects with a single shot there.
Waara tries to clinch up but Fensch circles away and keeps his distance.

Fensch will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Waara manages to break the clinch.
Fensch throws a left that rocks Waara and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Fensch dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Waara regain composure!

Fensch stands up.
Fensch connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Waara! He's out on his feet! Fensch rushes in and drops Waara with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
