And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takeshi Naoki!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Ren Mimura and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kawajiri misses with a series of wild punches.

and Kawajiri counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Naoki slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Naoki is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Naoki stands and throws Kawajiri's legs to the side, diving into side control.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Naoki cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kawajiri is rocked!

Oh Kawajiri is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Naoki has control of Kawajiri's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kawajiri regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Kawajiri seems to have got his legs back now.

Naoki has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Naoki jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Kawajiri manages to avoid the submission attempt.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Naoki is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kawajiri is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kawajiri is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Takeshi Naoki showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Well Naoki has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
