Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ginchin Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Machida might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to in bloom. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Anderson Silva!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yasuomi Hirokawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machida wants to clinch.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Silva prevents the takedown attempt.

Silva has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Machida uses from the top position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Machida lands a couple of digs.
Machida works over Silva with some ground and pound from guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Machida has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Silva has momentary wrist control but Machida slips an elbow through the middle.

Silva looking for a guillotine here but Machida defends easily.
Machida postures up in Silva's guard and throws a big left but Silva blocks it.
Machida cracks Silva with a solid left hand.
Silva bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Machida's guard.
Machida lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Silva!

Silva is in a horrible position here. Machida smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Machida postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Silva in real trouble here! The ref calls for Silva to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
